PS3 - Bulky or Slim?

So, I decided to add another family member 'cos the Xbox and the Wii are feeling lonely. What are the differences between the regular PS3 and the PS3 slim aside from their measurements. Naturally, I'd prefer the slim, but I wanted to check back with you PS3 owners if there are any quirks to the slim that should have me change my mind. Thanks in advance! ;)

Google yeilds great results. Based on this, I'd go for the slim. Cheaper, bigger harddrive, better.

I've googled, too, but still wanted to check back for real life experiences because you never know... ;D

Some fat PS3s that are refurbished still have backwards compatibility which none of the PS3 slims have. Thats the way my friend got backwards compatibility with his PS3 so late in the game. If you have a lot of PS2 games then look for that. If not then go for the slim.

I skipped the PS2 so I should be good. The PS1 games I can probably dump anyway, unless I unearth the console from the stack of boxes piled up in the attic. *lol*
