Another backup question re. GoDaddy

In GoDaddy's control panel, if instead of going into PHPmyadmin I click on the pencil beside my database, there is a backup option (and also a restore option) which is the way their support people told me to do it.  This places a backup on my server in a folder called db_backups within my root directory.  However, this backup is taking 10-20 minutes to complete and then when I do my files backup using FileZilla, the downloading of this db_backups folder is what slows down my file backup to over an hour and is, quite frankly, a PITA.

I also backup the database through PHPmyadmin > export, which completes in the blink of an eye, and have twice now successfully duplicated my forum onto my test site using this backup.

So this is really a long-winded way of asking: is there any benefit to using GoDaddy's cumbersome backup facility, or including the db_backups directory when I back up my files through FTP?  Will I have peace of mind if I scrap that folder altogether and just stick to backing up the database through Export in PHPmyadmin and save myself a load of time?  Or is there a reason to keep including it?

Nope just yet another cumbersome feature Godaddy has implemented. Simply use the PHPMYADMIN export feature.
