Hi guys

Trying to back up my database for my forum before upgrading and im not having any luck!

I tried doing the backup through the admin centre on the forum, and it saves a file but the file is empty! it says 0kb!

I've also tried going through parallels plesk and thats not worked either.

I've also tried exporting the database in phpmyadmin but i get an error message saying it was unable to find the export.php file

any suggestions? I'm new to all this so hopefully its a simple error

CapadY:
never ever trust the database backup possibility in the admin center.

It should be possible via phpmyadmin. When you have an error the export.php cannot be find it is possible your provider blocked the possibility to export the database. Contact your provider for an explanation.

It's a good idea to also test your backups to make sure they are good and you know how to use them.
I test my backups on a local test site.
