How flixable would it be ?

There is a reason that all the top web applications out there today are in PHP (with the exception of Perldesk).

Stick with PHp for web applications that are mostly front end and working with mySQL.

The Perl fans can talk Perl all they want but until I see more success stories like Perldesk I'm a PHP fan (esecially with PHP 5 around the corner).

I've been hearing for at least a year, maybe more that mod_perl is FAST, yet I have yet to see anything knock my socks off :)
