how to edit footer?

I did, yes. I saw how big the footer was already. The full page ad really put me off, too, as do the inline links to ads.

Anyway, in most countries, the posts are owned by the person that wrote them and the site can't very easily claim copyright over them without a signature from the person (and no, an electronic agreement doesn't count)

So what would you be claiming copyright over in the footer?

The XHTML, RSS and WAP2 links can be removed, the rest basically can't.
