What to do when someone takes info off of your site
floridaflatlander:
I don't get info from someone else's site and when I do, I get a short quote and then provide a link to that sites content. I thought that's how you do it. But now something is happening to me that I'm kind of up in the air about how to handle.
I have guys email me fishing reports and I clean them up and place them on a blog. It takes about 40 minutes to enter the report, choose which photos go on the report, resize the photos, enter the photos and their titles and captions, enter the titles, tags, categories, key words, page description, check grammar, spelling and the general flow of the report.
My problem is that there a guy that is taking my cleaned up reports, saying they are from the guide(who sent it to me) and he makes no mention of me.
I was thinking of emailing the guy and saying hey at least give a sentence about how this report was originally from me. And yes I've looked and he's doing the same thing to other people too.
What are some realistic my options?
Thanks

I'd start by being friendly about it.
You never know, it might just work. ;)
Do you have a "Everything posted on this site is copyright me" notice, somewhere?
Trouble is, the internet's anarchy, in it's purest form, in many ways.
If you want to take things further, you might need deep pockets. :(

Yeah it doesn't seem very sporting.

And he knows what he's talking about.

LOL, I guess he does, here's something funny I just went to the site and it has a copy right notice at the bottom of the site and this "
