[4483]ssi_recentEvents shows only today's event

<< < (2/2)

N. N.:
I find that odd TBH. It is 1.1.x behavior as well, to show recent - meaning up to today - events. Events in the recent past.

Though, I can see the need for a ssi_nextEvents() or ssi_upcomingEvents() of sorts. :D

Kindred:
Norv....  in 1.1, despite the NAME recent, it did show the UPCOMING (i.e. future) events.

I used that code often in joomla modules.

N. N.:
Well I am looking at the same code (basically) so that's a bit odd...

Let me see... okay testing as well, SMF 1.1.11 does what I said: if today is 25th, and I have an event on 26th, it does not show it, unless it's a multi-days event, which must have started sometime in the recent past (i.e. 25th is shown, 26th is not shown, 24-28th is shown.)
This is the same behavior with 2.0.
I can check to see the last time it ever changed... (I'm getting curious! :D)

N. N.:
As far as I can see this behavior has been in SMF for a long time, it didn't get changed. I agree it is a bit strange (well a bit less useful than it could be) - and we can use a function for showing the next events, as well, however those shouldn't be named "recent".  :D
Currently, it will show the events to come - or which end in the near future, but only if they started in the past - recent; started at last today if not earlier.
