How do I make Smilie work?

I have loaded up the smiiles pack via the ftp, added it inside the Admin to be the default but all that comes up is empty boxes.

Anyone that feel like enlighten me about this lmao.... pretty please.

Firstly I FTP the images that I want to add as Smilies not sure if this is what you did here. Then I follow the following steps

Admin CP - Smileys and Message Icons -  Settings -  Enable customized smileys
(otherwise, the default smileys will be used.)

Now

Add Smiley - Use Existing File - Filename: - use dropdown menu to locate FTP file thats was uploaded - Select image - the image should now show above - 

Now towards the bottom see

Add new smiley - Code: (enter the code that you will use in post for this one) - Tooltip or description: (This will be the tips of what the image is when mouse roll over when viewing in forum) - Location: (Where you want it to show above post block or as popup)

There you go as clear as mud  ;D
