Where should i put my adsence banner?

I like to experiment around with our google adsense and other affiliate ads we have on our site, such as our parts search box.

There is a lot more to it other then just the location of the ad.

I can make a change and see the effect it has on our parts sales in just a few days.

There is banner size, banner color, banner shape, text size, text color, what the text reads, etc...

Our parts search box does good on our site. As you can see it's big, 729px wide and it's got a bright yellow background for the title.

I think it's ugly myself, but if I use the same style as our forum default theme so it matches the rest of our site our sales drop.

If I make it smaller, say 468px wide our sales drop. I can even simply change the title of the parts search box and see how it effects sales.

Same can be said about our google ads, I find for us 728 wide works best, text only ads and depending on placement different colors.

Experiment and keep track, good luck.

You can't find the best place by asking.  It's just how it is.  Other peoples visitors are not your visitors. The only way to find the best place is to do testing over a period of time to find what generates more revenue.  You could even do A/B testing and see the results of that.
