AV or no AV?

I've still never had a virus (a noticeable one at that), but I probably should download Avast! and do a boot time scan when I get my ADSL setup.

ADSL is just needed for your updating database of anti-virus. When this process is completed, you can un-plug the ADSL cabble and start scan at boot time.
