Online shop software

My sister is branching into selling stuff online and I've said I'll do her website (well, it's the best way to learn  ;)) so I wondered whether any of you could advise me on free shop software.  I've been looking at Zen Cart - does anyone have an opinion on this?  Are there any better ones I should know about?

Has nobody any experience of online shopping (non-forum) software that they can share with me?   I need to make a start with my sister's website on my paid hosting account before she lets somebody else do it for her on some crappio free hosting  :'(

ZenCart seems to be pretty good. I tested it a while ago, but we cancelled the site/project before it ever went live.

I would never trust an ecommerce site to a free host...   ever

I personally couldn't recommend ZenCart, but then again it's the only one I have had the misfortune to use and I had to implement something into it, and frankly it was a mess inside and out to make sense of (implementing Sphinx search into it)

I didn't find it particularly friendly either :/

oh, it is a beast if you need to integrate it with anything... but it seems to do quite nicely as a stand-alone product.
