Microsoft kills off Outlook Express

--- Quote from: bostasp on August 15, 2003, 04:13:03 PM ---but to think... soon you'll probably have to pay for the features that are currently on MSN Messenger, and a free verison will probably be littered with bugs (usual MS) and very limited features. Even now I hate using POP through hotmail, I don't like viewing my pop through a browser, not even squirrelmail to some extents. Microsoft are, at the moment, seeming to make some really stupid decisions. People don't want to pay for a mail client, I certainly dont, but the only outlook on offer will be with office, and I dont want to pay £300 ($450) on a office suite at the best of times.
Anyways... moan over

Oh yes :(

I think there are still enough good Freeware Mail programs. Like Mozilla Firebird, which is really OE like.

Chris Cromer:
Or they could just roll it up into some other software. They already killed off netmeeting, and built it into MSN Messenger. So maybe they will do something similar and build it into one of their other products?
Ben_S:
I actually like outright disgrace.
