Email Account Notification Not Working

Hi
I have registrations set to Admin Approval, a member registered, I approved it and whilst they got the welcome email, which stated that another email would follow, that follow up email never arrived.
They said the welcome email was in their spam forum, but that is the only email they received.
Can anyone please advise?

Just to note, I checked the Mail setting and the mail type is set to php default, I have searched the forum for hours and googled the problem but have been unable to find an answer. :(

User error, I wasn't selecting Approve and email from the drop down.
