Quicki questions, in doing backups form cpanel i notice  SMF in the Softalicious Apps installer section.  Any thoughts on using it as a method of updating to ( it says 2.0.2)

It would be better to use SMF's built-in update mechanism (or do it manually). Softaculous and other "one button" installers generally don't handle well applications not installed by themselves, They often don't even handle updates very well, especially major version number changes.
