Pulling online users list

I'm trying to write a block for ADKPortal that I can use in my sidebar.

Basically what I want to do, is be able to show online "staff" members (any member in group 9, 10, 12, or 13).  As far as writing HTML and making it work I can handle.  I just need someone to point me in the direction of variables/functions to use

Does that mod have to be updated for 2.0?

Are there any ways to pull this list natively?  It can't be that hard, because the "Who's Online" box at the bottom already does it... I just need to filter it based on groups.

Like I said, it can be done using the SSI function I posted above. Look through it, someone may have ported to 2.x
