I want my same forum on multiple domains

(1/2) > >>

FounderSim:
how can I do this?

Elmacik:
This has been discussed before for several times and was introduced by a former SMF team member and I even implemented it on a Bob Marley fans forum in two different domains. It was quite long time ago; I don't know if it will apply to newer versions. You'll need to do some searching in the forum.

Arantor:
Why, though? There will be penalties from search engines for having duplicate content.

FounderSim:
Hi Arantor, I remember you. Havn't heard from you in awhile.

I started a online gaming project and I believe it would be best to keep the forum where its at for current members and a new location for new members. Both locations allready get a decent ammount of traffic. Eventually, i'll even add certain categories to only visible to that domain.

FOr the duplicate content. thats what robots.txt is for -_-

nend:
Is it possible to set up two SMF installations to use the same DB tables or is there too much of a risk of collision? If possible maybe this would work?
