Which is the most used Forum software in the internet?

I'm just curious.
Personally I think it's phpBB, although I like SMF more. ;)

It's probably phpBB. I duno why.. I think it's the worst forum out there. The likes of invision and of cours pay forums are invariably better. Not to mention YSE! ;D.

I think phpBB is so spreaded, because of the continuity of the software. They never change their name for years.
Just have a look at Invisionboard which is in fact a SE version of Ikonboard. Or SMF which is a splinted version of YabbSE which is also splinted by YabbGold. Through the name changes, you have to completly build up a new
memberbase.
hopefully this was the last namechange for "yabbSE" :D

Even then, phpBB gains tons of new members very quickly. Maybe it's because their name is know, but their software is pretty crudbags imho.
