Mod to add extra badges depending on donation level

Hello all, I hope this is in the right section, if not im very sorry!
What im looking for (And havnt been able to find) is a mod that will let me set how much a user has donated to our project, and then shows a extra badge (underthere member group badget) for that level of donation.
i.e if a user donates £5 to the project one "star" is shown and then after £10 two "stars", three at £15 etc etc.
The difference here is I want to only manually set the amount the user has donated as users can donate through a range of ways (paypal, buying donation app on play store etc.) so the current donation mods that let users donate thought paypal via the forum will not work for me.
I hope this makes sense and if it dosnt let me know, im happy to answer questions.

Would you be able to achive this by creating membergroups, which aren't based on post-counts, and assigning the stars to each group?
Problem is, whichever way you do it, having fifty stars is gonna look a bit messy, innit?

Hmm yes I guess with some set up I could do this, can you show badges from more than one membergroup, so it would show the users main group badge and then there donation badge.
I guess once you hit 5 or 10 this could be changed to a single star with the number 5 in. If we got up to fifty I would be rather impressed ;) :P

Yeah. If I get what you're asking, go to Admin>Current theme and deselect "Hide post group titles for grouped members:", near the bottom.
