Sending newsletters fails if you do not disable administration security

It for sure depends on the settings and on how you are sending them (and probably on the server too).

If you are using the queue, for example, it processes 1000 members at time, while if you are directly sending mail it processes 60.
If you are sending them as PM half of the above.

Just for info: how are you sending the emails? With or without the mail queue?

Forumtastic:
I am not using the mail queue - and I am sending both emails and PMs to my own local mail server with no restrictions.

The admin password prompt is interrupting it for both myself and the other administrators.
