Forum Stats and Users Online?

Hello All,  I am new to SMF.  Is there a way to turn off the Forum Stats and Users Online?

On the main page or somewhere else? (There are sub-pages that have much more detail - is it the detailed pages you want turning off or the main info center?)

Do you want it controlled by permissions or just removed entirely?

* Arantor is curious as to why it should be removed, most sites find they get better results leaving it in.
