So what is actually the status on smCore right now? Does it have the basic modules for member registration/login/sessions? If it has that I can work with it, even without a theme system really, as I been working with a main theme-with-subthemes for Blocweb anyway and could even write the modules i would be interested in(mainly LITE blog/gallery/review types).
I can check lol..just asking before I do.

Honestly I'm not sure... lol
That's a question for Fustrate!

If it will be using something like Smarty I will never make any attempt to theme it. :P ToxG is workable though, last I heard(quite some time ago tbh) it was still the main focus.

I completely agree with you, something similar in my mind (if ToxG is more like smarty).. I probably won't try theming it either. I have not evaluated ToxG yet, I expect it will not require too much learning or its not similar to theming system of VB...

It uses Twig as the templating engine and Twitter Bootstrap for the "theme".

There is some auth code but it's support for permissions is lacking at the moment and the code in the main repo doesn't actually work at the moment. :P Or at least doesn't fully under my current setup.
I've been trying to port SimpleWiki to smCore... I'm learning the do's and don't's of the pre-alpha architecture. :P
Bloc:
Yeah... I just downloaded smCore and haven't had much luck getting it started on my localhost. I guess I'll just wait until its actually ready to work. ;D
