New Post Icon Perminantly on

My new members are permanently seeing the new post icon showing. (on.gif / on2.gif) Even in boards which haven't been posted in since they joined.

I created a test account and found the same problem. Has anyone heard of this issue or know a solution to it?

EDIT:

Older members like myself don't have this issue - I'm afraid I can't trace how far back the problem started though.

EDIT2:

Further investigation finds that it's not all new members only some. I created a test user a while back and it had this issue (which I thought must be a b3.1 bug so I left it for a bit) now I've gone back to that user, deleted it, and re-registered it and the same things happens! I was using exactly the same browser & PC that I use for my main account and I've never had a problem with the main account.

This makes no sense to me what so ever.

Good thought but thats not it.

When you click on the light icon it says there are "No unread topics found since your last visit" and "No messages..." when you click on "Click here to try all unread topics".

- Probably should have said that to start with - lol

If they mark the forum, or that specific board as all read do they still get the icon showing as active unread posts?
