Use a random choice of say 2 verification questions from a choice of 10 - your one question can easily be programmed into a bot, but random question choices make things a lot harder.

I don't think you have bad-behaviour running?

It is; "Bad Behavior has blocked 645 access attempts in the last 7 days." It just doesn't show up on the default theme I have running.

To increase blocking use  cache duration, strict mode, add a honeypot link.

No need to install two mods that have the same lookup.  That will only increase your bandwidth.  Instead you may want to drop your minimum threat level to 10.  You know the ProjectHoneypot feature is working when you see DENIED #2b021b1f in the log.

It usually takes a week after using the mod before the bots start to slow down.

Another good mod is StopForumSpam.

Minimum threat level is sitting on 5, for both, and we're still getting daily spam, though now we get one or two posts, instead of 9 or 10.
