Someone Hacked My Account

Yesterday I intended to visit my twitter account, but I froze on an instant when I open it seeing everything was changed. The background, profile pictures and even those post I don't even posts were there.

Well, I think my account was hacked by someone. Can you please help me from preventing this from happening?

Make sure you have a good strong password, 3-8 word characters long is not good enough.
