need help converting from yabbse to smf

have several issues i need help with.

#1 we're moving from one host to another. i already bought the new domain, its set up, and i've installed yabbse 1.5.5 there. once its set up i'll convert it to smf v5

#2 we've run yabbse on our other host/domain for about a year now. some of the file versions are 1.5.4 but most are 1.5.1. i would gladly update it to 1.5.5 and then convert but i cant find where to download anything to convert the yabbse > yabbse.

#3 we then need to backup and move the database from the old board/host to the new board/host. should i move the database to the 1.5.5 yabbse and then convert it to smf, or convert it first and then move the database?

any help at all is appreciated

1. Should be fine as long as YaBB SE is working fine before the upgrade.

2. Don't worry about this at all.

3. I would move then convert.

i did try to move the database to the new 1.5.5 board but it wont work

the board did work before i changed the database to the backuped one

Are you sure the prefix, etc. is right?

Try:

UPDATE settings
SET value = 0
WHERE variable = 'enableCompressedOutput';
