Has anyone successfully upgraded?
casp3r:
Has anyone successfully upgraded from 3.1 to 4 beta? I've tried it on two sites and each time I get as far as the mods section of the installation and it then throws up error messages. I'm assumming it will be easier if I uninstall all the mods before trying to upgrade. Correct?
ccbtimewiz:
What modifications do you have installed specially? It's recommended to uninstall modifications as upgrading from betas generally results in template overrides.

I was able to upgrade from SMF 2.0 Beta 3.1 to SMF 2.0 Beta 4 without an issue. I uninstalled all modifications before I even started the upgrade process, so that probably helped ensure there were no issues.

Sorry I haven't replied early
ccbtimewiz - I have quite a few mods installed so will uninstall them and try the upgrade over the weekend. Will let you know how I get on :)

Ok I tried to upgrade one of my forums 1.1.6 to Beta 4 using the large upgrade package. This forum only had one mod installed (Related Topics) so I uninstalled it. Uploaded the new files, ran upgrade.php. Get as far as step 4 'Database Changes', so far so good, but when I click 'Continue' I get the following error message
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: array_combine() in /home/casper/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-Db-mysql.php on line 629
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance
