Hi SMF or SMF Users,

I am using SMF forum several months now but the most stupid mistake i did made is was making my forum private and this on request of my friends and members! Now my question is what steps and how to i change the private forum to public any help is more then welcome and can be send to horsebettings@hotmail.com or give me the link at smf were i can find the explenation

If by 'Private' you mean unregistered members cannot view topics, you can change that in Admin -> Features and Options -> Allow guests to browse the forum.  Just check that.

What is repair_settings.php?

I assume you have setup as "private" you are using localhost or 127.0.0.1 and wanna go "public" with your domain name ?
if thats the fact you can use the repair settings tool to change it ;)
