I tried the mod for this but the "find" code for the second insertion doesn't exist. (manual parse for v2.0.2)

It doesn't look like a hard one to do?  Could it be updated for v2.0.2?

Liv42dayOK:
Okay, still would like to see if this could be done.   The support link in the mod... the domain is available, no longer any website there.

Now, the request would be for v2.0.4.

Even with only 10 replies showing per page, people are lazy.  It's human nature.  Too lazy to scroll up or down to click on the regular reply button.   So, there's all these replies starting with qoutes.

From the looks of the previous mod, this doesn't looke like it's a hard mod to update.

In fact, I don't understand why this, or even at least a quick reply, isn't standard in the current version.

Arantor:
Quick reply is standard and has been in SMF for years. It's just collapsed by default (and I have no idea why, to this day), but trust me, it's a default feature because I use it every day...

As for modifying it, that gets a bit more tricky depending on whether you're pointing to quick reply or not... (and it might imply that reply-to-individual-posts, aka threading replies is available, when it isn't)

Liv42dayOK:
If the quick reply is collapsed by default, how do I "un-collapse" it?  I've been looking through the admin options and not finding anything to enable/disable it.

The previous mod referred to was just a reply button to that topic and it would just your post on the end as the most recent, and it alowed use of the WYSIWYG editor, which, I'm not sure if i remember this correctly though, the quick reply does not(?).  In addition, the reply on every post mod placed the reply button at the beginning of the post options at the upper right of the post, i.e. edit, split, remove, etc. and is just easier to see than at the bottom. ( Wasn't the quick reply just an icon as well?).

I believe the mod coding went up to version 2.0.1 and didn't look very dense or tricky at all.  It actually looks like one of the simplest mods made.  If I knew the slightest thing about open source coding, it's one I would definitely take a whack at but, I don't.

Arantor:
You can reconfigure it from the mess that is Admin > Configuration > Themes and Layout > Member Options.

Quick reply doesn't use WYSIWYG by default but there are mods for that too should you wish to do so (though it has a performance issue involved)

The thing is, if it works on 2.0.1, there is no reason I can think of why it wouldn't work on 2.0.4... they're almost identical.
