Hi!

I've done a complete install of SMF on my new host and I would like to import the data from my old host that used YabbSE 1.5.5. I've already backed-up my yabbse database with the "data and structure" option, so I just to know the next steps. Can someone tell me exactly how to do that? Thank you all for any help with this!

I see that this is only good if I kept the forum on my old host, but I moved to a completely new host. So you're suggesting that I upgrade the old forum from yabbse to smf, dump a new database and try to migrate everything to the new host? there isn't a import yabbse database into smf utility or something? Thanks again for the link though!

David:
There is an upgrader but you need to have YSE installed and them upgrade to SMF over that installation.  So yes, I would upgrade to SMF, dump your db, and then import the db dump on your new host into that install.  Or just delete the install on your new host, copy over YSE, and upgrade to SMF on it.

ahh, thank you so much! I feel a lot clearer now.
