How to get rid of 'blog' menu item...I have two of them

<< < (2/2)

It worked, thank you! Followed every parse, thats stubborn menu item "blog" did not budge until I finshed every last step. I kept checking thinking maybe this one will do it.

That took some time  :o

Question..is there a way to know if a mod is going to require this before I install it?

Marcus Forsberg:
Any mod that has been approved on the mod site should install and uninstall fine, but there's always the possibility that if you install one mod and then add another one afterwards the uninstallation of the first might conflict. But generally, there shouldn't be any issues like this. The reason it happened here is probably that you installed two very similar mods at the same time. Next time, if you wanna try to different mods that do the same thing, first install and try out the first one, and before you install the next, make sure the first one is uninstalled properly! :)

Thanks Marcus, and I totally should have figured it was something I done!   ::)

Great information and it does make sense. I make many stupid mistakes when it comes to site maintenance. I'm very thankful for SMF keeping it as 'simple' as possible though. Wow, no board software compares to it, imo. On either end!
