Installing Mod may have broke Forum.

(1/1)

olivestab:
Hello, is there a backup option available?
I recently installed a Facebook "Like" integration, and for some reason, i cannot access my features and options page, it just displayed a white page with this link:
http://mgsuniverse.com/index.php?action=admin;area=featuresettings;cf2e989e3=2516b2b32f36a3e10f68d089476271af

I also installed a "Rate This Topic" mod, and i did not like it, so i uninstalled, deleted it, and even took it off my host file,
and its still displaying on the forum! how can i get rid of this!?!

-I have uninstalled all of the plug-in modifications.
-Deleted them from my hosting file as well.
-but I'm still having issues with some admin panel pages not loading.

You could restore your backup...

If you didn't backup, you MIGHT be lucky, coz I wrote this for just this scenario.

this is perfetc, but, where exactly do i upload those files to? you say,
Uploadthem to the forum to overwrite everything,
where exactly do i upload it? through my hosting? (ftp)
or somewhere on the forum?

also, is there an option to put the forum in maintenance mode?

K@:
I'm not being funny, here, honest.

But, "Overwrite what's there, now", seems pretty specific, to me.

You can use FTP, or, if you're feeling extremely masochistic, you could use your CPanel's File Manager.

If you can't get into Admin, to put the forum in maintenance mode, you can edit Settings.php, to do that (If you look at the file, it should be obvious what to do).

But, if it was my forum, I wouldn't bother, doing that. People MAY see some errors. But, if they do, they'll just come back, later. :)

thankyou for your help,
I was able to get most of the files replaced that mattered.
Ill have to figure out a faster way to replace files In my ftp instead of doing things one by one.
