Avoid sleeping?

(1/7) > >>

Shadow:
Hey, do any of you know how one might be able to get by sleeping very little, or say a lot on a single day and very little the rest of the time?

[Unknown]:
It gets easier after the 36 hour mark.  I'd say from 24 to 36 is always the hardest part.

I don't drink coffee, though, so I'm not sure how that would change things.

Yeah... you can sleep very little.  It's not good for you but I do it all the time... just have to train yourself a bit.

Tyris:
yeah... thats actually right the 24-36 being hard..
I usually love my sleep, get lots of it (morning till about midday ;))
I dont drink coffee either (how are we supposed to convert coffee into code without coffee ;D)

I've had a few long lans (usually for birthday parties)... and usually after about 34-36 hours you feel read for more gaming... the 20-30 hour period is spent lying near unconcious in front of the movie projector ;)

[Unknown]:
I always end up spending it sitting in some class learning about as much as I would anyway...

I tend to sleep 4-4.5 hours a night. I am a perfectly healthy individual, being neither overweight nor underweight and without any health problems. I do not get tired during the day if I get at least 4 hours a night, so I would say for me this is my magic number. This is mostly due to years of habit and nothing more. You will develop a sleep cycle/pattern if you give yourself enough time and regiment yourself.
