Banned Membergroup

Im trying to make a mod where as soon as your banned you are placed in a banned membergroup. Can anyone help me with this?

I don't think that regular user can see that other user is banned or not, so moving this banned user to special group with 'banned' badge would be good solution.

Sometimes user tries to contact with someone  who is banned and he never will get the answer, but he doesn't know it :P

That isn't what I asked. What do you want to do with that group? Limit the boards they can see? Reduce their permissions? Use it purely for display? (If so, what do you want to display?)

No, that should not be the case in 2.0 final onwards. Sometime around 2.0 RC4 at least (maybe later) I reported a bug in the PM system for this very reason and provided a patch which refused to send a PM if the user was pending deletion or banned.
