Topic: SMF 2.0 and Joomla 2.5

Hi,

 I have a hockey site that runs on Joomla 1.5 but I'll be upgrading it to Joomla 2.5. It also has a forum that runs SMF 2.0. I'm looking for an integration between the two systems. I don't really need the user integration like others. What I would like is that when a new topic is created in a particular categories of the forum, it creates a joomla article and publish it on the webpage.

Have you guys ever see that kind of integration?

Seems like an unnecessary duplication. Why not just show new threads or lut of threads in a module with a link to the forum to post responses?

That can be done with just ssi.php
