Problem during the installation

Hello !

First, excuse me for my english...i'm french.

I try to install SMF but i have some problems...

1 - I've installed EasyPHP 1.6 on my computer (basic installation..) in order to try SMF before install it in my personal webspace...

2 - I 've unziped the file i have downloaded on you website : smf_1-0-beta4p_install.zip but it seems that there are several files with same name ..I choose to keep the most recent...

3 - I run the installation :
                        - the 45 packages are properly installed...
                        - the step 4 has failed because the subs.php file must be in 'sources' subdirectory. When  I create this subdirectory and put the subs.php file and re-run this step, the installation is fully completed but when I try to run "hxxp:127.0.0.1/ [nonactive]<mywebsite>/index.php", a blank page is diplayed...

For the second step, you NEED to extract with directories.  What are you using to extract the zip file?

....Ok I'm stupid, I opened the zip file and drag and drop all the files in my directory....

I have unziped with directories and run the installation....it works....

Not stupid, just trying to install SMF.  The fact that you picked SMF in the first place means you're not stupid, right ^_^?
