The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved. 

I keep getting this error when i try to upload an avatar. I have that enables in the forums settings. also i can't get the avatars to show up properly, for some reason they don't fit correctly in the avatar box. I know i'm a noob at this, just need to be pointed in the proper direction. Is there a way to set it up like the yabbse1.5.4 where the left side would ressize the fit the whole avatar image there?

Easy enough... Thanks Indio :) worked like a charm.

 Does anyone know how to chmod in dreamweaver? It's supereasy in go live. Maybe i just don't know where it is...lol

Apparently you can get extensions for Dreamweaver to do this.
