How to give a board its own custom header display by theme?
Groovystar:
I am creating unique themes for some of my boards now and I want to change what they have in their headers to be specific to news and information going on in that board or board set. Currently the global headers footers mod we use, displays the same stuff on all the boards. Is there a way to fix this? Or is there a way, if not, to disable the news display on a theme and somehow put your own one in there instead using the same language settings that I used for the news in my other topic on this?

You can use http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1104 to be able to have header Blocks for different boards. That would do this you can have it display things from that board it is on too.
Groovystar:
Thank you...interesting, but wouldn't that change the entire page though?
larry1123:
No not at all it will fit in with your theme maybe if you have a vary custom theme you may need to add the mod to your files yourself, but you may like any mod test it before you use it on your site.
Groovystar:
I'm looking at it; it's a big mod. There's no way it'd fit without heavy custom installation on my site.
Is all this really necessary when I just want to adjust the contents of one single element on my themes?
