SMF is Crashing MySql database

Interesting.....

after checking I did note that phpinfo reports MySQL as ver 3.23.49

but my install is indeed the 5.0alpha

So my choices are revert to MySQL 4.1 or
run YabbSE until SMF supports MySQL 5.0

haha..if anyone asks...let them know YabbSE works great with 5.0.

oh what to do...
well, I think...I will just ..umm...go get drunk and decide tomorrow...

Well,

I didnt go get drunk...decided to install MySQL 4.1
and see if problem persists.

You could always get drunk and install MySQL 4.1 ;)

I would also consider upgrading to the XP Pro version, over the XP Home Edition. The Pro very is much more functional, and stable.

Home just doesn't handle memory, resources, and network access as well.  On purpose.  Those bums.
