Changing Title & Category background colour

Hi,

Can someone tell me how I change the colour of the Tile bar and category bars please?

I am unsure which section to go to out of the following to find the code to change
If I go to "Browse the templates and files in this theme"

I then have this list:
css       
images       
languages       
scripts       
index.php    
index.template.php    
theme_info.xml
   
which one do I go to and what code am I looking for to change the colour for the Tile bar and category bars?

I have FacebookSMF theme
Author: bluedevilcustoms

The file that needs editing will be index.css, in the theme's "css" directory.

It has a lot of comments in it, which should help to guide you to the sections that you need.

The colours are in HEX format, which is explained here:

Thanks for the welcome and thank you for the info, the HEX very helpful too  :)

I have found the place easy enough but for the life of me cannot find the selection of code I need to change!! My eyes have gone crossed for looking  ;D

If you happen to know which bit I need to find I would appreciate that too  :)

Psst... Don't tell anyone this, will you...

When I do it, I keep a copy of the original file, as a backup. Then, I use the ol' "Trial-and-error/Suck it and see" method.
