my hosting now is offering free installation of 1.1.5 . Will I be able to upgrade to 2.0 later on?

You should actually install 1.1.6 instead of 1.1.5 as there are some security bugs fixed. 2.0 is still in beta so it isn't a stable release.

You can always upgrade to 2.0 whenever you want even if it's a beta release.

but I got another question lol I need to play with this for a while and figure it out for my self before I ask.

My host offers unlimited subdomains, I have a regular website, that I'm working on content for. I created a subdomain for the forum, downloaded SMF through the host (it was the same as yours 1.1.5) and it gave me the alert to upgrade to 1.1.6. I created a subdomain to test this out, I want to mess around with it before I transfer it to my forum server. That'll be fun. You'll just need an FTP client, I used filezilla, its a really easy interface. You just download the beta here http://www.simplemachines.org/download/ and upload it with your ftp. Theres instructions here http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=2.0;sort=subject that explains it really well. I found out my host doesn't allow 777 chmod so I had to use 755 on the files it says to use. You can check out hxxp:forum.simbergusa.com [nonactive] for 1.1.6 and compare to hxxp:smfbeta.simbergusa.com/smf [nonactive] (I havn't set up a redirect yet)
