Is there an advantage to building up a forum before you take on advertising?

Douglas:
Yes, because then you can show advertisers potential ad revenue. Be warned (and expect) that you'll take a bit of a hit in terms of visitors/traffic once you add ads in, but if they're smartly located to not be obtrusive on your site, most people will be happy.

Mr. Peanut:
So, the potential ad revenue that I will show advertisers is in the history of the site, correct?
