Mod Update Notification
Akyhne:
On the mod site when you update a mod, the Mod Update Notification email is send out even you haven't clicked the "Notify Subscribed users of updates?"
Suki:
No, the author needs to explicitly click that checkbox.
Akyhne:
No we don't...
Suki:
Details please, I was only answering your question but if you have an issue, please be as explicit as possible otherwise I won't be able to help.
Akyhne:
Well, I recently just updated all my mods to support the newest version of SMF.
I *always* do all the edits to both the description, uploading new files, new attachments etc., without clicking the "Subscribed users of updates".
I also do not upload to many files at a time, because then the upload will fail. So I upload several times.
Then when everything is 100% ok, I click the "Edit" button again, just to click the "Subscribed users of updates" and saves.
But my test account receives notifications for every time I have clicked the "Save" button, no matter what I changed. I just fixed an issue in one of my mods again today, and it was the same. The "Subscribed users of updates" was not clicked, but still I got an notification email.
This must be pretty annoying for users with notification enabled, cause I often saves 3-4 times per mod when editing one.
Last time I did an update on my mods were in November 2011. The issue was not there at that point.
