I have just had a go at this and I love it, even though to be honest I'm not sure what I'm doing.  I uploaded my saved zip and it's fine except that when I log in, it seems to have lost the small 'new' graphic next to any child boards displayed on the front screen.  Have I done something wrong?

Can you send me original file of that image that you've lost? Maybe editor for some reason didn't parse it properly. Also color scheme bookmark, if you have it.

Hi.  All I did was click on the Curve dark blue example in your original post, altered the colours a little and downloaded the zip file, I didn't do anything else.  Would the zip file help?

I think I've found the problem. Image was parsed correctly, but parser didn't change theme id so theme had same id as default Curve theme, which I think was causing some conflicts.

From now on parser will assign unique id to each downloaded theme, so there won't be any conflicts between different color variations of same theme.

Thank you for that, however I have gone through the whole thing again and now one of the author graphics seems to be missing - see here http://www.bbclocalradioforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=67.0

Looks like images/facebook.png is missing on your forum, but its not a part of default theme, so its not a error.

Hi, sorry to disagree but I think it might be the veryhot_post.gif ??

No, its there in directory "topic". It seems to be incorrect though. I'll test it.

edit: tested it with your color settings, that image is correct.

edit2: found same bug in my old SMF test files, but I can't emulate it anymore. All my tests return correct gif image. I did some changes to gif files parser recently, so probably I've fixed it without even noticing. Will do more tests.

I'm very, very new at this stuff.  I just had a fresh SMF 2.0 install and I want the forum to be green.  I downloaded the file (after I picked my colors) and it's a zip file called smf-curve.zip, but I don't know where to upload it.

I use cPanel, barely.  Can I upload the files from the SMF board, or do I use file manager and put in the theme subfolder.

Thanks and I apologize for being so geek challenged. :o

In your forum menu click "admin", enter your password, click "themes and layout". At the end of page you'll see option to upload file.

Thank you kindly, Cyber Alien!  For some reason, the zip file wasn't showing, so it wouldn't let me upload even though I was in the right spot.  Once I found the zip file, voila.

Very cool!! ;)

This is really fantastic, CyberAlien. :D I look forward to working with this soon.

My forum uses the Bright Forest SMF 2 theme by Aaron. Can I upload the theme to your SMF Page or must Aaron do it?

Thank you for your patience while working the kinks out so this works well with SMF.

I'm really thrilled to have this helpful tool as I enjoy shifting colors to suit the seasons.
Again, Thank You for creating Colorizeit~! :D

MrGrumpy, thank you for your excellent perspectives and guidance. BIG help.

Style author should upload it, so he could keep it up to date.

I've used the editor and I love my new colors - thanks for such an easy to use tool!  I've loaded two color variations of the Curve theme, but in both there are some broken images (like the online icon) that work when I switch back to the SMF Curve default theme.  Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

There is a "fix" for this issue if anyone else is experiencing it.

Use the link in the colorizeit.html to go to your saved theme.  Choose the upload files tab (only accepts zip files).  Upload the useron.gif from SMF Curve Default.  Then load the colorized useron.gif to you theme's image files on your server.

Please try again downloading full style with your color scheme. I think I've fixed that problem with useron.gif
