Issue: Chrome not displaying (unmodified) image attachments
Server Version: SMF 2.0 RC3, Apache 2.2.11, PHP 5.2.14, MySQL 5.1, Win XP SP3
Client Version: Google Chrome 5, multi-platforms
Solution: Removes "Content-Length" header

Hello. We are using SMF 2.0 RC3 and lots of users complained about image attachment viewing.
We are not using thumbnails.

After we manually disabled image re-render, attachment compression, line break rewrite, and basically all other attachment processing, most browsers are doing fine, except for one: Google Chrome 5.

It's a known Chome issue since Chrome 2.0 on many sites.  Pictures would load and display partially, then get replaced by a broken image icon.
Opening the image by url (preview/full download) will work, so it's browsers' problem.

We just discovered that NOT sending Content-Length header will allow Chrome to load image attachments correctly.

If needed, I can setup "before" and "after" demo sites but not today.

N. N.:
Hello there,
and thank you for the report.

Could you please give an example of the problem?
Why do you it's a known issue with Chrome 2.0 (an example perhaps)?

Do you mind giving more details on how to fix this Google Chrome problem?

My Google Chrome is the latest version. The first post sounds like it is the way to fix it. With the same version of Google Chrome, I had no issues with SMF 1.1.11. Problem only occurred after I upgraded to 2.0 RC4. I know Google Chrome has an issue too.
