New Icon Stuck On

The New icon (on.gif) is stuck on for one of my boards. But when I go into the board, I don't see the smaller new icon by a topic.

I can click on MARK ALL MESSAGES AS READ for the entire forum, or on MARK READ for that topic, and it doesn't help. If I click on the latter, I get:

"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

But logging out and back in doesn't help.

Yesterday I accidentally set the clock on my computer to four months ahead. I may have posted during the time it was set incorrectly, and I suspect that might have something to do with it.

It wouldn't be a recycling board by any chance, would it?

Don't know what that means so I'll say no. Just a basic board that's been there a long time.

I see another problem. Perhaps it will give a clue.

I posted in that same board this morning, and the post isn't showing in the board index!

If I look at my posts in my Profile, it's there and I can click on it and view it. And it says it's in that board. But it doesn't show in the board index.

Perhaps there are other posts in that board that aren't showing in the board index, and that's why the New icon is still showing for the board.

P.S.

Another clue! If I login in another browser, all these missing posts show. How could that be?

AND... after I viewed these posts in the other browser where I could see them, the New icon went away in the browser where I can't see them.

It's failing in IE; working in Chrome.

Okay, all better. I deleted my IE browser history, temp files, cookies...
