Too bad that most Linux distributions don't include a nice UI except for Linux Mint Cinnamon, and that won't install on my laptop :-\

That'd be fine if all your games worked flawlessly on Linux, including the various emulators you might have to use (of which mine don't)

uninstall software that you don't require. Use a genuine Anti-Virus.
