How to lock a sub board?

I have my main board lay out as follow:
Lotus Europa Forums:
  Classified Forums:
      FS/WTB  parts forum:
      FS/WTB car and rollers:
      Craigs List / eBay ads:

How do I lock the sub forum "Classified Forums" without effecting the sub forums under that one?

Easily. Locking the board by changing its permissions profile (in Admin > Forum > Boards > name of board > Modify, change it to Reply Only) doesn't affect the children, only the board to which it is applied.
