Hide e-mail

when i registered as a user in my fresh forum inst., the 'hide e-mail function' didnt work.
So i had to set the option manually in my profile.
Bug or feature? ;)

Ummm.. what do you mean?

The admin option for hide email only allows people to hide their email - it doesn't hide everyones by default. The only other option is "hide email from guests" which hides everyones email address's from unregistered members to stop crawlers picking them up.

i registered using the 'hide-email-option' but the address stayed visable because using the option in the reg.screen did not result in anything. (nothing to do with the admin setting)
