Of course it is shopped... lol. If you would do this with a open shutter all the planes would look like one giant stripe
Not to mention shadows changing, sunlight changes, cloud changes, etc. etc.

well, I could do much of it with multiple exposures of the same frame...

but, overall, it is easier to just overlay the frames on top of each other... either in photoshop or in the darkroom.
