New flash thing I made

Ok, this isn't that great compared to some things that other people have made but it took me about 5 hours so I wanted to show you all.
http://www.edtl.us/swf/advanced_ship.swf

Anyways, I'm new to action scripting with flash, so I was quite happy I found out how to do all this. Anyways, it took me about an hour to get the ship to go up and down and rotate. Then I spent about 4 hour trying to get it to go forward instead of just rotating. I'd like to thank the people who made the clock for helping me with making the ship turn, and I'd like to thank me for learning how to do the rest with trail and error. And I'd like to thank all of you for reading this post and looking at it and saying something nice.
The controls are as follows: UP, moves the ship forward; LEFT, turns the ship counter-clockwise; RIGHT, turns the ship clockwise; red button, puts the ship back in the starting area; yellow button, turns the ship's rotation back to 0 (upwards).

This is step 1 of making a multiplayer flash game. :)
Step 2 is making the ship fire, step 3 is making things get in the way of the ship, and make it so the ship cannot go through them, likewise whatever the ship fires not go through them, and step 4 is making it work in a multiplayer setting, step 5, replace all the images, make the ships into tanks, etc etc.

You will all try the final version... if it ever comes... yes... you will...

Just a suggestion...  If the ship travels off the screen, it should reenter at the angle/opposite side it left from

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

If the ship leaves the screen at 3, it should re enter at 7.  Likewise, if it leaves between 2 and three, it should re enter between 7 and 8.  Also, you should not be able to click on the screen to move your ship back to it's coordinates.

I bet I know what game you're coding, and I do hope that you do make it available for multi players (GO ASTEROIDS!).  I would be MORE than happy to beta test it on a main site at Fractured.net

Never can tell what I'm going to build :)
Anyways, this is just a start, the script that was used to make this can be used and added on to so that real games can be made. :)

Parham:
